TikTok has now made it easier for you to donate to the desired charities during coronavirus pandemic through donation stickers.
TikTok is serving several purposes for its users these days, other than entertaining.
The video-sharing application has introduced new Donation stickers according to which the creators of videos and live videos to raise funds. The video creators will directly get the donations if the viewer taps on those stickers.
Such stickers will help organizations such as CDC Foundation, James Beard Foundation, Meals on Wheels, MusiCares, National PTA,
National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, No Kid Hungry, and The Actors Fund in gaining the donations.
These donation stickers can be used in making videos or going live. Once a viewer tap on the sticker, a pop-up window will appear where they can make donations without quitting the TikTok app.
The donations have been powered by Tiltify, a charitable fundraising program that manages donation payment transaction procedures.
TikTok says that it will link the donations collected through the donation stickers until 27th May. When you use the stickers, a hashtag named #doubleyourimpact will automatically appear to the videos and live streams.
TikTok US Head of Product, Sean Kim said in an announcement, “During this time of uncertainty, our community has come together and given back in countless ways, from applauding health care workers to sharing inspirational messages on how to stay safe and happy at home to making original coronavirus songs to spread positive messages,”
