Since a very long time, we have been using emojis on Facebook to express our current mood or to react on any message or comments.
But now, Facebook has introduced its new Avatar feature to users in the US this week, after launching it last year in other countries.
The feature allows Facebook users to create a cartoon avatar to to Snapchat’s Bitmoji, which can be used in comments, messenger and Facebook stories.
After you make your selections to create something that may resemble you, you are given pre-formulated reaction stickers that you can use to react.
Firstly, a user has to choose a hair colour, skin colour, eye shape, eyebrow type, lips and nose shape and wardrobe.
Here’s how to get your Facebook Avatar
Follow the following steps to create your own avatar.
Go to the Facebook mobile app. Then go to a Facebook post as if you’re going to comment on it. Then click on the smiley face icon, which will bring you to the emoji and stickers. Find the little purple guy with the red tongue. Click on him.
Pick from the given options to select face shape, hair type, body type and wardrobe. Accessories are optional.
After the selection, you can click the arrow next to your finished avatar to share it to your feed or make it your profile picture.
If none of those options appeal to you, you can either edit your avatar once again by clicking on the pencil icon or check out the possible stickers that use your avatar. Including sending hugs, wishing on special occasions, send greetings.
Now, every time you move to comment on a post, if you click on the smiley icon, you will get an array of possible reactions using your avatar.
