With ongoing harassment any bullying incidents on Twitter, the company took bold steps to reducing harassment. This will not limit users, but the move is to disappear content.

Twitter gives first ever updates regarding Fleets, the stories-like feature which has been testing in Brazil since early March.

Fleets will expand to Italy after more than two months of testing. However, it is still unsure whether the feature will become permanent for all or not.

Interestingly, Twitter notes early testing has shown that Fleets might be leading to healthier interactions. “We’re seeing less abuse with Fleets as only a small percentage are reported each day,” the company tweeted of its Brazil testing.

A Twitter spokesperson declined to elaborate on specifics which has spent years trying to reduce harassment.

However, Fleets is still a feature that most Twitter users have no access to. And the fact that Fleets disappear after 24 hours could also be contributing to the fewer number of reports.

But, at least, the company seems optimistic to disappear content after it has announced to expand the test in a new country.

Earlier, Twitter had allowed some of its employees to work from home ‘forever’ if they want.

Twitter has not yet revealed which employees can avail from this opportunity. But the company has announced this decision considering the experience of working from home.

Twitter’s vice president of people, Jennifer Christie said to the international news source, “If our employees are in a role and situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue to do so forever, we will make that happen,”

“If not, our offices will be their warm and welcoming selves, with some additional precautions, when we feel it’s safe to return.”
