The Messenger Rooms feature launched by Facebook last month went live, and now it’s available in Facebook-owned WhatsApp.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, Facebook has integrated Messenger Rooms into WhatsApp for Android with the 2.20.163 beta update. The update brings a new “Room” option to the share menu inside the chat, which helps you to have video calls with upto 50 participants.

To avail the latest feature, you need to download the WhatsApp for Android beta 2.20.163 on your Android phone.

If Messenger Rooms is available for you, it will show up as Rooms in the chat sheet in any chat window. The menu which allows you to share documents, location, contacts and access the gallery on the phone.

Moreover, you will also see Create a Room option when you tap on the calling button to add or dial contacts on WhatsApp.

This feature is currently available to a limited number of beta users in a few countries, including the US, but it will soon expand to more countries.

Earlier, Facebook had bought the world’s most popular animated photo-sharing service, GIPHY, and made it part of Instagram.

Vishal Shah, Facebook’s vice president of product division, confirmed in a blog post. He wrote “GIPHY, a leader in visual expression and creation, is joining the Facebook company today as part of the Instagram team.”

“GIPHY makes everyday conversations more entertaining, and so we plan to further integrate their GIF library into Instagram and our other apps so that people can find just the right way to express themselves.”

GIPHY APIs have been used by Facebook for years in various services such as Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.

Facebook has bought GIPHY for $4 million and has been trying to buy the service since 2015.
