WhatsApp will now enable its users to sync their chat history on at least four different devices. The popular social media platform has launched a new feature to allow its billions of users to sync their chat history easily.

Currently, users can only use WhatsApp on a single device at a time and it is not possible to use an account on more than one device. According to a source, the social media platform is working to upgrade its feature to enable the same account on multiple devices.

The report from an international news source said, “They are testing the feature in order to work with 4 devices at the same time.”
“When the user wants to use WhatsApp on a second device, there is the need to copy the chat history. In this case, WhatsApp always requires a Wi-Fi connection, because it may use a large amount of your data plan,” said the report.

When WhatsApp has copied the chat history to the second device without any hurdles, it will finally be possible for the users to use their account from it.

“Note that any message will be delivered to all your family devices, so your chat history will be always synced across platforms, and when you use or remove a device, your encryption key changes,” said the report.

All active chats will be notified when the encryption key changes during the procedure. On the other hand, the messaging app has also created an iPad app that will be released after the activation of the feature. Consequently, you will be capable of using the app on the iPhone and iPad simultaneously.

According to the report, it is expected that WhatsApp will enable mobile devices to be connected to your main device later than WhatsApp for Desktop.
