On Saturday, the Punjab police have blocked 4000 social media accounts for sharing hate material and arrested 87 people.
According to details, under 3-Acquaintance of Public Order (MPO), the Punjab police have also arrested 43 people and shifted them to the prison.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Lahore said,
“4000 social media accounts have also been blocked over sharing the hate material.”
The further added that to monitor the activities, 218 people have also been put in the fourth schedule.
Pakistan’s law enforcement authorities are taking strict action against those who share violent and hate content of their social media accounts.
It should be mentioned here that earlier on July 19th, the Lahore police had arrested two men for posting their pictures with illegal weapons.
