During the hardest times, WhatsApp is all set to introduce a new feature of “Read Later” option in its new Beta update.
According to the details provided by the WABetainfo, this new option is a replacement for the “Archived Chats” feature.
“When a chat is added in your archive, the user doesn’t receive notifications from it because all archived chats will be automatically muted, in order to reduce interruptions,” it said.
The Read Later option will appear at the top of WhatsApp’s interface.
Moreover, WhatsApp users can also disable the feature if they do not like to use it by simply going into WhatsApp’s settings.
WABetainfo said that the feature is under development and that it would be available soon.
Earlier, WhatsApp’s new privacy policy created a hue and cry on the internet. A majority of users criticized the new update and decided to switch to alternatives.
However, the tech giant had finally answered some “rumors” and had presented its clarifications. Taking to Twitter, it had announced that the revised policy “does not affect the privacy of messages with friends or family”. “Instead, this update includes changes related to messaging a business on WhatsApp”.
