How to transfer WhatsApp chats to Telegram?

The number of Telegram users increased a lot after WhatsApp updated its privacy policy. The new move created tough competition between both messaging applications.

Several users are switching from WhatsApp to Telegram. So, they are concerned about their chat history.

Now, Telegram offers you a feature through which you can import WhatsApp chats easily.

For Android users

You can export the chats. Tap the three vertical dots present at the top right corner and press Export Chat. Pick ‘Telegram’ from the Share menu.

For iOS users

Click on the ‘Contact info’ or ‘Community info’ page in WhatsApp. Tap ‘Export Chat’ and pick ‘Telegram’ from the Share menu. Users can also export chats by swiping a chat to the left and clicking ‘Export Chat’.

If you use the Telegram app, you will be asked to choose a category inside the app to import the chats too.
