Hyundai Elantra Sedan Pakistan Launch Date Revealed

Hyundai Nishat Motors is all set to introduce the new sedan Elantra in Pakistan and now the date of the launching has been revealed.

According to the reports, the new sedan will be unveiled on March 21 during an online event competing with the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic.

The company did not say anything about the features and specifications of the car, but it is likely that the car will be equipped with a 2000cc I-4 Cylinder MPI engine, and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The engine will provide 154 horsepower and 195 Nm of torque, while electric power steering, cruise control and other features will be part of the vehicle.

Passenger safety features such as 2 front airbags, traction control, Hill Start Assist, electronic brake force distribution, ambulance can also be part of the vehicle.

Keep in mind that these are not certified features but potential features, so some features may be different.

The price of this car can be between Rs 38 to 40 lakh.

Earlier, Hyundai Nishat Motors had introduced an SUV Tucson in August 2020 and Santa Fe and Grand Stark in Pakistan in February.

Tucson was supposed to be introduced in June 2020 but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It may be recalled that Hyundai had been assembling its vehicles in Pakistan till 2004 but the Korean company had stopped assembling it after the bankruptcy of its local partner Farooq Motors Limited.

In 2017, Hyundai partnered with the Nishat Group to set up an assembly plant in Pakistan.

In 2017, Nishat Group chairman Mian Mansha told the private media outlet that the South Korean company wanted to start assembling small vehicles to compete with Japanese companies already in the market.
