Proton, a Malaysian company, has introduced its first sedan Saga in Pakistan.

The car was unveiled at a digital event on April 4 and will be available in 3 versions: Standard Manual Transmission (MT), Standard Auto Transmission (AT) and S Auto Transmission (AT).

It should be noted that Proton has partnered with Alhaj Group to introduce vehicles in Pakistan.

Alhaj Motors has also introduced a sports version R3 of Saga but only 100 units will be available.

All three versions of the Proton sedan Saga are powered by a 1299 cc horsepower 4-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 94 horsepower and 12 Nm of torque.

This engine will come with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission (according to manual or automatic version).

The Limited Edition R3 comes with a 1332 cc engine with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox option.

The vehicle is equipped with anti-lock braking technology for the safety of the passengers while dual front airbags are also available.

The car features an ambulance system, 15-inch alloy codes, side mirrors with signals, rear spoilers, fog lamps, adjustable steering and a remote control trunk.

The car also has a 7-inch touch screen.

The SAT also has features like DRLS, stability control, traction control, front parking sensors and reverse camera.

This sedan will beat other companies’ sedans such as Toyota Yaris, Honda City and China Gun Sweeney because it is the cheapest of them all.

In fact, it is the cheapest sedan available in Pakistan and the standard MT version will be sold for Rs 1,975,000.

The Saga Standard AT is priced at Rs 21.25 lakh and the SAT is priced at Rs 22.25 lakh.

The RTK will have to spend Rs 2,175,000 for the manual transmission model and Rs 2,425,000 for the automatic version.

It is not yet clear whether the vehicle will be assembled or imported into Pakistan, but Proton’s X70 is being imported into Pakistan and assembled models will be available locally during the first half of 2021.Malaysian Company Introduces Affordable Sedan Saga In Pakistan
