Qualcomm has just released the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 high-end processor.

Different firms began introducing cellphones that included the new processor soon after it was released. One of these companies is OnePlus.

OnePlus has confirmed that a new top-of-the-line premium smartphone would be released in the third quarter of 2022, employing Qualcomm’s newly unveiled Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 engine.

The company also stated that it will be among the first to acquire the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

Unfortunately, the name of the smartphone has not been divulged by the manufacturer.

However, previous speculations suggested it could be the OnePlus 10 Ultra.

We already know that the OnePlus 10 series will be released in the second half of 2022.

The OnePlus 10RT, OnePlus 10T, and OnePlus 10T Pro are all part of the series. However, the 10 Plus Ultra will be released later.

Apart from OnePlus, Asus and Realme are also planning to release a new smartphone in 2022 with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU.

Realme has announced the release of the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition, a high-end smartphone.

Asus’ ROG Phone 6 series, on the other hand, will be the world’s first gaming smartphone to use the same SoC. It is still unclear who will win this race.
