Tech Giant Apple said it is working on a software update to fix a problem with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max that causes the back camera to shake when used with some third-party apps like Snapchat, Instagram, or TikTok.
Apple said in a statement that it is working to fix the problem. A company rep said, “We’re aware of the issue with the camera shaking issue on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max and a fix will be released next week.”
Some users said in videos and posts on social media sites that the problem only happened when the camera was used with third-party apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram.
One person on YouTube posted a video of their phone shaking while they used TikTok. Other people on Reddit posted about the same kinds of problems.
The problem, according to a US news agency, is that some third-party apps cause the optical image stabilisation hardware to break.
The main lens on the new camera system for the iPhone 14 Pro has 48 megapixels.
The phone’s Dynamic Island software interface works with an improved camera cutout to show navigation instructions or AirPods status.
Apple’s fix wouldn’t be the first since iOS 16. On launch day, customers had to update to iOS 16.0.1 to activate FaceTime.
