Apple iPhone 15 Ultra price in Pakistan & specs
Apple may replace the iPhone "Pro Max" with an "Ultra" model next...
Since the iPhone 14 just came out last month, rumours about the iPhone 15 are still in their early stages. However, we are starting to hear a few hints about what to expect next year. The latest interesting prediction is about the 5G processor that will be in the iPhone 15.
Apple is expected to upgrade from the Snapdragon X65 found in the current iPhone 14 line-up to the Snapdragon X70 in order to power its 5G capabilities, according to industry expert Jeff Pu (via MacRumors).
The improved chip has less latency and uses less power. It also comes with a set of AI optimizations that should make speeds faster and coverage more reliable no matter where a phone is.
A side story is that it is known that Apple is making its own 5G modem, just like it has been making its own processors for the iPhone. Pu thinks it will be a while before Apple makes a 5G chip.
Pu says that Apple will also stick with Qualcomm for the 5G modems it needs for the iPhone 16 in 2024. That should be the Snapdragon X75, but right now we don’t know anything about it.
Then, in 2025, we might see a phone with a full set of chips made by Apple. So, you can think of this as the first rumour about the iPhone 17. In the meantime, we will keep you up to date on all the leaks and rumour about the iPhone.
Apple has built iPhone and iPad chipsets for years and now uses Apple-made silicon in its Macs.
The iPhone’s 5G modem is one of the few third-party components, but Apple intends to change that. That’s why it bought Intel’s 5G modem business in 2019.
Switching is taking longer than expected. Apple 5G chip in 2023 now seems unlikely.
Apple hopes that by developing its own hardware and software, it can build more efficient and smooth products.
