Apple iPhone 15 series
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 series has sparked numerous rumors. In a report published earlier this month, the pricing strategy for the iPhone 15 Ultra was disclosed, with suggestions that it may be the most costly iPhone ever. According to appearances, the news might be true.
Since the price of Ultra is going up a lot, the price of Ultra’s less expensive siblings should also go up a lot. A new report from Naver says that Apple may need to change how it prices and markets the iPhones coming out in 2023.
The source says that Apple may be about to change its pricing and marketing strategy for the iPhone 15 series because sales of the current non-Pro iPhone 14 and 14 Plus were not good. On the other hand, the Pro models do well on the market.
It’s easy to figure out why. Apple broke its rule of giving all iPhone 14 models the same specs, which it had done in the past (apart from usual differences like size, cameras, and batteries). The CPU and design of non-Pro iPhones were inherited from their predecessors. In the meantime, both of the upcoming additions to the iPhone price list have new looks and better features.
At first, Naver suggests that Apple might make less of a difference between its non-Pro and Pro models in order to boost sales. There have been rumours in the past that all of the screens on the iPhone 15 will be Dynamic Island screens, so it’s possible.
Also, the source says that Apple will raise the price difference between Pros and non-Pros to make up for the fact that the iPhone 15 Plus and 15 are low-end phones. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo thinks that the difference between the Pro and non-Pro models and between the Pro and Max models of the iPhone 15 will be bigger. He says that the name of ProMax will change to Ultra.
