Samsung has made a big deal with Preferred Networks (PFN), a big name in artificial intelligence (AI). This shows a change in making chips from TSMC to Samsung.

Even though this move surprised many people, it’s not clear what the impact will be. Samsung is currently working on 3nm chips and moving towards making 2nm ones.

PFN working with Samsung means they’re getting ready to make the first 2nm AI chips.

We don’t know how well Samsung’s 2nm chips will work yet, but they keep improving their methods. PFN might have switched to Samsung because they got a good deal on pricing.
