WhatsApp is gearing up to release a new feature in its upcoming update that will allow users to add personalized messages to forwarded content, enhancing communication and clarity.

According to WABetaInfo, this feature will let users append a custom message to forwarded items, including text messages, documents, and links. Previously, this capability was limited to media files like images, videos, and GIFs, regardless of captions.

Currently available for beta testers on WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.25.3 via the Google Play Store, the feature will soon be rolled out to all users in a future update.

This functionality enables users to provide context or additional details alongside forwarded content effortlessly. For instance, a forwarded news link can now include a summary or personal comment in the same message, avoiding the need for separate follow-ups.

Users can also add notes to non-forwarded content, such as simple text messages, making it easier to clarify or expand on shared information.

This feature is expected to improve communication, particularly in group chats or situations where recipients require extra context or instructions.
