Google is set to launch the Pixel 9a next year, the successor to the Pixel 8a. Leaks about its design and specifications have already surfaced, fueling excitement among tech enthusiasts.
A tipster on X (formerly Twitter), @feni_book, shared an image of the rear panel of the Pixel 9a. Unlike previous models, this new version does not feature the typical “G” logo but has a completely different one.
The rear camera module is also expected to be more streamlined, without the protruding metallic border seen on the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro.
Another image revealed the front design, which resembles the Pixel 8a, with a center-aligned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. This suggests a familiar, user-friendly design.
In terms of camera specifications, the Pixel 9a is likely to come with a 48MP Sony IMX787 sensor, the same as the one in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It will also feature a 13MP ultrawide camera, allowing for wider shots. Users can expect a 13MP front-facing camera housed in the hole-punch cutout for selfies.
Although Google has yet to announce an official launch date, the Pixel 9a is highly anticipated by fans who are eager to see what new features it will bring to the Pixel lineup.
