WhatsApp has launched a new feature allowing users to scan documents directly within the app, eliminating the need for third-party tools.
According to WABetaInfo, the document scanner is available with WhatsApp version 24.25.89, and some Indian users are the first to access it.
This feature provides a dedicated “Scan document” option when uploading or selecting documents to send. It ensures that scanned images are clearer and more readable, making text and signatures stand out.
Previously, users had to rely on their phone’s camera or external apps for scanning documents before sharing them via WhatsApp. The new tool simplifies this process, offering convenience and better quality in one place.
Other WhatsApp Updates
Alongside the document scanner, WhatsApp is working on additional updates. Users can now manage chat animations for emojis, stickers, and GIFs.
Another upcoming feature will provide direct access to human support via the web client. Instead of automated responses, users will be able to receive real-time help from human representatives, enhancing customer support on the platform.
These new features reflect WhatsApp’s efforts to improve user experience and add value to its app functionality.
