Nothing Phone 3 launches with stunning display and dual 50MP Camera setup
Nothing has officially launched the highly anticipated Phone 3, showcasing a bold new look, faster performance, and an expanded Glyph interface. The Phone 3 marks the company’s most ambitious Android device yet. It pairs a powerful Snapdragon processor with a fun and visually striking dot-matrix display. Nothing is designed to make the phone to stand out not just in appearance but also in functionality.
Nothing offers a full 7 years of software support for the Phone 3—exceeding the typical 5-year guarantee provided by most Android phones. As one of the longest-supported smartphones on the market, the Phone 3 will receive major Android upgrades and regular security updates throughout its lifespan.
Nothing has positioned the Glyph Matrix—a whimsical monochrome LED dot-matrix display made up of 489 individual LEDs—in the upper-right corner of the Phone 3’s rear. This display serves as the centerpiece of the design, showcasing custom icons, animations, caller ID, system alarms, and more.
A dedicated Glyph Button allows users to interact with the display and switch between various modes, including caller ID, notifications, and Glyph Toys. These playful features include mini-games like Spin the Bottle, as well as practical tools such as stopwatches, battery meters, and solar clocks.
Nothing has housed the Phone 3’s triple 50MP camera array in a bold, asymmetrical rear design that enhances its distinctive look. The setup includes a 114° ultrawide shooter, a 50MP periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom and macro focus from just 10cm, and a large 1/1.3″ primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS).
Nothing equips the Phone 3 with a 6.67-inch AMOLED front panel that delivers a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, and FHD+ resolution. The display features a 50MP selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint scanner, uniform bezels, and 2160Hz PWM for a flicker-free viewing experience.
Nothing powers the Phone 3 with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device runs on Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15. The company plans to release OS 4.0, based on Android 16, shortly.
Nothing equips the Phone 3 with a 5,150mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports both 15W wireless charging and 65W wired charging. It also becomes the first Nothing device to feature IP68 water and dust resistance.
The Phone 3 comes in two color options: bold black and clean white. Nothing will open pre-orders on July 4, with official sales starting on July 15 via nothing. tech. The 12GB RAM 256GB storage model starts at $799, while the 16GB RAM/512GB variant is priced at $899.
