PTCL has successfully deployed AirPON Solution from Huawei Technologies in its Fiber Access Network.
The solution is a unique and innovative Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) solution.
It leverages existing cellular mobile network infrastructure to extend Fiber footprint.

The Optical Distribution Network (ODN) components used by AirPON are specifically designed; pre-connectorized, and offer a novel, effective, and rapid deployment; that eliminates fieldwork through a plug-and-play method; while also significantly enhancing the quality of installation.
To meet the housing, power, and transportation demands of optical line terminal (OLT) equipment; the infrastructure present at cellular mobile sites is what is in use.
By extending its Fiber Access Network in regions; that would otherwise be difficult to reach for deployment; this solution represents another another advancement on PTCL’s strategy; for meeting the fast increasing consumer data traffic demands.
