Social media seek justice for Salahuddin

Social media users came out to seek justice for Salahuddin who had died in police custody. #Iamsalahuddin is trending on twitter.

Twitter users are posting photos with the same cheeky face which Salahuddin showed on CCTV camera of the ATM, to generate strong reactions and also have called on the Punjab government to take stern action against the policemen for this contemptible act of brutality.

Last month while robbing an ATM in Faisalabad, Salahuddin showed his tongue out at the CCTV camera. His cheeky act went viral on social media, but later police arrested him on August 30, he died in police custody on Sunday September 1st.

An inquiry into his death has also been ordered by the District Police Officer with the cause of his death to be announced following a postmortem.

Salahuddin had garnered online attention after a video of him made rounds on the internet as he stole from an ATM machine in Faisalabad while sticking his tongue out at the camera during the process.

He was recognized a month later by security officials at an ATM in Rahim Yar Khan where he was attempting to repeat the criminal act.
