Alkaram has launched the latest collection in Pakistan and it seems that the design of a Kurti is not ‘Original’. They have uploaded the latest Kurta designs on their website in which one Kurta contains a floral embroidery at the front side.
However, the audience is smart enough to observe the design very well. It seems that Alkaram has copied that design from the cover of the renowned Korean band BTS album of 2017.
BTS Pakistan has accused Alkaram of plagiarizing the design theme of their album cover, as the floral embroidery looks the same as the album’s theme.
The design advertisement was seen on Alkaram’s website in which had worn that kurta and had carried a bunny head in her hands.
Apparently @alkaramstudio lacks the ability to hire designers that can make original designs. They literally COPIED bts’s LY:Her album art and embroidered it on a shirt CLAIMING it to be their own. This isn’t just a shop selling merch. Its AN ACTUAL CLOTHING BRAND. pic.twitter.com/cLUjbvQCPK

Many BTS fans have expressed their opinion on social media. Some of them even have said that if Alkaram is taking inspiration from them, at least they should give credit. Another fan informed that Alkaram admitted that they were not aware of this. Some people even emailed the BTS agency regarding the matter but got no answer.
A well known clothing brand of Pakistan @alkaramstudio copied a design of BTS LOVE YOURSELF- Her album cover design. It’s in an exact formation. This is really disappointed that they copied it when they actually can make their own designs.
Please report this to bighit. pic.twitter.com/b8XwXLjDEm

Surprisingly, Alkaram has removed the Kurta from their online store and all their stores. They have also given an official statement in response to the reaction.
They say, “Thank you for pointing this out,” “We have removed the outfit in question from our e-commerce portal and are in process of withdrawing from stores. Alkaram remains committed to respecting designs, authenticity, and originality, and will continue to do so to the best of our abilities.” The brand also informed the audience that the designer responsible is no longer working with Alkaram.
