Ms Marvel Comic has Paid Tribute to Amir Khusro’s Poetry by quoting his verses.
Amir Khusro’s poem on Basant, “Sakal bun phool rahi sarson”, was quoted in a very important scene in Ms Marvel Comics, when the heroine Kamala Khan realizes her powers.
Amir Khusro is a famed Sufi poet from pre-partition Indian sub-continent. Having his verse quoted in her comic book is quite a nice touch for fans.
Here’s the verse that quoted in her book
“Sakal bun phool rahi sarson, shakal bun phool rahi … Umbva putay, tesu phulay, Koyal bolay daar daar, Aur gori karat singaarn,
(“Mustard is flourishing, mustard is flourishing …. Mango buds are flourishing, buds are flourishing, sing sweet Koel bird, and beauty is flourishing”)
Twitter users raised their expectations by pointing out how the comics quoted Amir Khusro’s poem on Basant.

In anticipation of seeing this queen on our screens! It won't be for a forced, misplaced, 'woke' agenda, but because of the mad sales her title saw and the relatability that she offers 😁🦸♀️#suemeimSJW #MsMarvel #KamalaKhan pic.twitter.com/LmYUr4DJLq
