Visually impaired woman raped in India during ongoing lockdown

The shocking news came out in India as an unidentified person allegedly raped a 53-year-old visually impaired woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal district on Friday.

The dreadful news has come out in times of coronavirus lockdown. Note that there are 1, 310 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from that, India has 11,892 active cases whereas 488 people have died and 2,045 people have recovered.

Bhopal police reported that the woman was alone in her home. Hus husband was stuck in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown in India. The woman is a banker. 

The woman was sleeping in her home when a man entered and allegedly raped her. She was taken to the hospital for medical formalities. 

Inspector Chandra Bhan Patel of Shahpura police station said, “A case has been registered under section 376 (rape) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the hunt is on for the accused,” 

The woman had informed that she had left the balcony door open so she might not suffocate. 

Assistant Superintendent of police Sanjay Sahu informed that the man might have entered from the open doors of the balcony and he might have come through the stairs to enter the second floor.

The Welsh singer has first time confessed about her experience of rape she had. she said that she was drugged, raped, and was forcefully taken to the foreign country.

“Rape is like living murder, you are alive, but dead,” she wrote.
