Fouzia Azeem, popularly known as Qandeel Baloch, was murdered by her brother on 15th July 2016. Today is the fourth death anniversary of the social media sensation Qandeel Baloch.

Qandeel got fame through her bold and controversial social media content. She worked as an actress, model, and human rights campaigns.
She first gained popularity in 2013 when she auditioned for Pakistan Idol. She was highly trolled for her audition. Soon after that, she became an internet celebrity due to her controversial videos and other content. She was one of the top 10 most searched persons on the internet.
However, her brother Waseem murdered her while she was in her parents’ house in Multan. Azeem confessed to the murder, saying he killed because she was “bringing disrepute” to the “family’s honor”.
In 2019, Qandeel’s brother was sentenced to life in prison.
