Teenage girl gains popularity as she resembles Michael Jackson

A teenage girl is gaining popularity as she ‘resembles’ late pop star Michael Jackson.

Lorun Elisabeth, a student from Manchester, shared a selfie on Twitter and captioned it “Blame it on the boogie.”

The photo got 109,000 likes and 6,000 comments so far. A twitter user commented, “Michael Jackson in heaven calling the police for identity theft…”

The teenager said she is the first to admit she looks like Michael Jackson in some of her pictures.

“My reaction to people saying this was always positive,” she said. “I saw the funny side, I’m not one to ever be offended by something someone’s said online about me really.”

“I think it’s quite clear that in that picture I look a lot like Michael Jackson. So, I guess people just ran with it and now I’m known as the ‘Michael Jackson girl’.

“So many people have been retweeting it with popular Michael Jackson lyrics, which I find hilarious.

“Ones such as ‘I don’t have nothing to say so imma just beat it’, that one made me laugh.

“I also have gotten so many nice comments in my Twitter DMs and Instagram DMs which was really nice.”

However, some twitter users trolled her, saying she has undergone surgery to resemble the singer.

“I had one incident where I was a bit angry where I was posted on a site called Reddit on a post made by ‘botched surgeries’ where they claimed I’d had surgery to look like him, which is not the case,” she said.

“This made me quite angry because some of the comments weren’t the best. I later got the post deleted.

She added: “All in all, the post to me is so funny and it still makes me laugh.

“I can’t believe it blew up in all honesty and got as far as American Twitter. It’s been so funny seeing my face everywhere. I can’t escape it.”
