The Lahore Session Court has called Meesha Shafi and seven others in a case concerning running a defamation campaign against singer Ali Zafar.
As per the details, Meesha Shafi and others accused have been asked to appear in the court on January 18 by the Judicial Magistrate Zulfiqar Bari.
Shafi was asked to appear before the court at the next date after the prosecution submitted the challan.
Meesha Shafi was found guilty of running a defamation campaign against leading singer Ali Zafar by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday.
Before the court overlooking the FIR registered on Zafar’s complaint in April 2018 after Shafi accused him of sexual harassment, an interim challan against Shafi was submitted by FIA’s cybercrime Lahore wing.
As per FIA, Shafi was unable to provide witnesses before the court against Zafar, thereby, all her accusations against the Channo singer ‘defamatory’ and ‘false.’
