A SAD girlfriend has paid tribute to her 16-year-old boyfriend, who was stabbed to death on a bus.

Tyler Hurley was found in his school uniform after being stabbed in Chadwell Heath, East London, at around 3.55pm yesterday.

The promising lightweight boxer was on his way to deliver flowers to his girlfriend on the 11th anniversary of her father’s death.

According to her statement to the Evening Standard: “I lost my father 11 years ago on the same day that I lost my boyfriend. I’m heartbroken.

“He was the sweetest little boy. He would go to any length for anyone. We’d been dating for five months, and he was ambitious and supportive of everyone he knew.”

Tyler, according to the teen, was never in trouble and was not a member of a gang.

She continued, saying: “When he entered a room, he made everyone feel at ease and smile. “When a friend told me what had happened, my world fell apart.”

Following the tragedy, Romford Boxing Club also paid tribute to Tyler.

According to a statement: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tyler Hurley, a former Romford Boxing Club and Joes Academy boxer. I’m 16 years old and I’m so depressed.

“Our hearts go out to Tyler’s family during this difficult time.” Tyler Hurley, rest in peace. “Words cannot express how we feel right now.”

Tyler was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being knifed in front of horrified students.

He was unable to be saved and died overnight, according to police.

An 18-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder and is still being held.

Locals described what happened on board the double decker bus as it travelled down the busy High Road.

One person stated: “On and outside the bus, there were fights between groups of boys. It was frantic, with a lot of shouting.

“It was shortly after school, and students were present. It was a nightmare. The boy was abandoned for dead, and the others fled.”
