I’m a 51-year-old grandmother who has just delivered her SEVENTH child — I was a young mother at 16; I’m trolled but don’t care

MOST GRANDMASTERS are more concerned with babysitting their grandkids than with having additional offspring of their own.

With most women entering menopause by their early fifties, having further children is typically out of the question.

This grandmother, on the other hand, stunned everyone when she opted to spend £23k on IVF in order to have another child.

Kimberly Chasteen, 51, gave birth to her first child, Jessica, now 35, in 1987 when she was just 16 years old.

Kayla, 33, Richard, 31, Blake, 20, Briar, 19, and Balin, 17, have joined her in the family since then.

The brooding grandmother has five grandkids, but it hasn’t prevented her from desiring more children of her own.

Kimberly utilised a donor egg to conceive her seventh kid, Tyrique Chasteen, who was born this year on St. Patrick’s Day.

Despite having her tubes tied twice earlier, the mum-of-six decided she wanted a seventh child after meeting her current boyfriend three years ago and had the surgery reversed – once again.

Due to scar tissue damage from her previous tubal ligation and poor egg quality, doctors advised Kimberly that a healthy pregnancy was improbable.

But, desperate to give birth one more time, she underwent the costly treatment.

Despite being a relatively young grandmother, Kimberly, who resides in St Louis, Missouri, has experienced criticism for her decision to have another child.

According to one TikTok video viewer: “What doctor let this to occur? That is just too high a right for her.”

“She won’t be around by the time the kid is 25,” a seconder said.

“That’s literally incredibly reckless,” said another.

Kimberly’s daughter Kayla told The Mirror, “When she told us she wanted to try for another baby, we weren’t particularly supportive at first.”

Including: “Several times during her IVF process, she mistook herself for pregnant, experiencing symptoms such as nausea and cravings. I didn’t believe it until I saw the pregnancy test result. I was taken aback.”

Fortunately, the 51-year-pregnancy old’s was uneventful, but she did endure some bleeding at the 32-week milestone.

“It was thrilling to be pregnant with my daughter the entire time. We were there for each other. Having sons was even better for both of them “Kimberly spoke up.

She urged other women who wished to take the jump later in life to “do their study.”
