As Putin’s forces continue to suffer huge losses, Ukrainians have posted photos of a burning Russian fighter jet blasted out of the sky in the Kharkiv region.

Photos from the scene of a Russian Su-35 fighter jet alleged to have been shot down by Ukrainian forces.

The Su-35, a high-tech fighter plane costing over £30 million, was destroyed. The jet is believed to have been shot down in Ukraine’s Kharkiv area. The Su-35 was shot down by Ukrainian forces, according to Deputy Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko, who allegedly wrote: ’50 million dollars worth of damage for the ogres!’

Russia’s single-seat multi-role attack jet is the SU-35s. Its exceptional manoeuvrability and torque vectoring engines allow it to turn significantly tighter than a standard jet aircraft, making it ideally suited to air superiority operations.

Unlike the F-22 and F-35, the Su-35s is not a stealth fighter and, like the previous aircraft like the F-16, depends heavily on dogfighting skills.

Since the start of the war, 19 Russian jets have been verified downed by Ukrainian troops.

An aeroplane can be seen descending from the sky on fire before colliding with the ground and bursting into flames with a dense black cloud of smoke in the clip. The moment the jet was shot down, according to a video that has gone viral on the internet.

Mr Wallace said that Starstreak had trained and deployed the first Ukrainian military and that the UK was “doing more than pretty much anyone else” to assist the war-torn country.

He told the media, “One of the biggest challenges is that the more you go up in sophistication of weapons systems, the more training you require to use them, which is why the real focus of effort has to be helping the Ukrainians either refurbish or locate Russian or Soviet equipment that is already in their inventory,” he added, “Just providing British tanks wouldn’t really work.”
