In a heart-stopping video, a massive great white shark is seen swimming close to a family of tourists.

The beast was spotted as the party was out on a boat near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, terrifying beachgoers.

The 15-foot shark was spotted beneath a fishing boat that a family of five had rented to go lobstering.

According to the video that the boat charter company uploaded on Facebook, it was just below the water’s surface.

The clip that was shared on Billingsgate Charters’ Facebook features a passenger on the boat who is astounded by the size of the big fish.

He can be heard saying in the video footage, “Holy smokes, that thing is big, guy! That is roughly 15 feet! That item is very big.

Owner of the boating firm Billingsgate Charters, David Stamatis, told Boston.com that he guided the boat toward the shark to offer the family a better view.

“They were overjoyed; their trip was made. This was a wonderful bonus, Stamatis remarked, in addition to the fact that they caught plenty of fish and lobster for dinner.

It was spotted in Cape Cod Bay in about 60 feet of water, according to Stamatis.

This is a wonderful, lovely, huge animal, and for those people to witness it up close like that, it’s a once in a lifetime experience, he said.

However, the New York Post reported on how he believes the shark may have delighted in people’s reactions.

You must respect them, he continued, whether you agree with them or not. “You might be the next thing he eats off of his list.”

At the beginning of this month, The Mirror reported on another great white shark sighting.

On that occasion, a seal was devoured by the shark in close proximity to a crowded beach as the water became blood red.

It was the first sighting of the summer season in New England, United States, prompting officials to issue a cautionary note to beachgoers.
