For those unaware, the song was finally released after a long delay. Its trailer was released in April, well in advance of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding.

The internet was divided about the ‘Love Storiyan’ portion of the full-length music. After a social media uproar, a singer has now released his own interpretation of the song. Clearly, the video has gone viral online.

Arijit Singh sings Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s Kesariya. Some fans were unhappy when Kesariya rhymed with ‘Love Storiya’ as they awaited the full version.

The sentence in question goes like this– “Kajal ki siyaahi se likhi hai tune jaane kitnon ki Love Storiyan.”

However, a performer named Harsh posted his own version of the song on Instagram, omitting the Love Storiya portion cleverly.

Harsh changed the name of Love Storiyan to Ye Dooriyan. Harsh sang, “Kagaz ki siyahi se likhi, ab ho na paaye teri meri ye dooriyan.”
