In Colorado, a bear took control of a trail camera that had been installed to photograph animals. The bear took roughly 400 “selfies” with the camera.
According to Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, a wildlife camera placed in a wooded area in November took 580 pictures in one night, 400 of which were “bear selfies” of a lone bruin that came in for a close-up.
When posting the images to Twitter, Colorado Parks and Wildlife joked, “Felt cute, might delete later.”
Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks installed nine cameras around the city to aid officials and researchers in understanding the region’s unique fauna.
