Two youngsters narrowly escaped after the motorcycle they were riding was allegedly hit by a speeding car from behind and was dragged for approximately four kilometers on Wednesday night in Haryana’s Gurugram, serving as a chilling reminder of the Khanjawala hit-and-drag event in Delhi on New Year’s Day. The incident, according to the police, happened in Gurugram’s Sector 62 neighborhood.
A fast-moving four-wheeler struck the two men’s two-wheeler as they were riding home from work. They claimed in their police complaint that they lost control of their bike due to the force of the collision and that the driver pulled it for around 4 km while it was stuck to the front grill of the car.
Social media users also shared a video of a Honda City sedan dragging a motorcycle in Sector 65 while several sparks were flying.

They further claimed that the driver of the car was intoxicated and continued driving after their bike became caught underneath the four-wheeler. They asserted that despite their continued yelling, the driver ignored them and continued to drive. They did not, however, get any severe wounds as a result of the incident.
They claimed they were able to capture the action on camera and later shared those photos with the police when they reported the unidentified motorist.
In a related event that happened on New Year’s Eve in Khanjawala, outside of Delhi, a 20-year-old woman died after allegedly being hit by a car and dragged for a distance of a few kilometers. The woman’s clothes were torn and tattered from the claimed dragging incident, and she was found dead in the middle of the street. Following the incident, seven people—including the five people in the car—were detained.
