Who is Meera Murthy, and where did she study?

Meera Murthy, born in 1988 in Albania, ventured abroad at the age of 16 to pursue her education at Pearson College on Vancouver Island, Canada. In 2007, she earned her diploma, followed by a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Throughout her career at OpenAI, she has contributed to various departments, including research and product development. Meera gained attention in 2022 following the launch of ChatGPT.

OpenAI removed Sam Altman, the creator of ChatGPT, from the company, and Greg Brockman, the president, also stepped down.

As per a New York Times article, Meera Murthy constructed a hybrid racing car during her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College. Beginning as an intern at Goldman Sachs in 2011, she later worked at Zodiac Aerospace from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, she served as a senior product manager at Elon Musk’s Tesla. Joining OpenAI in 2018, Murthy took on leadership roles in the development of ChatGPT, Dali, and Codex.
