KARACHI: A total of 1340 candidates sat their Bachelors of Science in Nursing (Generic) entry examination, for a number of 50 seats at Jinnah Sindh Medical University.
According to Dr Fatima Abid, Director Admissions, 3,209 aspirants submitted applications for admission in Bachelors of Science in Nursing (Generic) 4-year degree program, out of whom 1,340 candidates were declared eligible.
‘The test comprises questions from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Mathematics. Twenty five male and 25 female students will be admitted on the 50 seats’, she said.
Registrar Dr Azam Khan along with Qazi Shabbir visited the examination sites established in various departments and expressed his satisfaction after reviewing the arrangements and facilities provided to the candidates.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor JSMU Prof Amjad Siraj Memon said that with the passage of time, the importance of this profession and the demand for nurses in the society is increasing and we are determined to meet this shortage by providing qualified nurses by training and quality education.
