After many news stories about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s health, a video of a convoy speeding towards the Kremlin complex has sparked questions about him. Reports claiming that Mr. Putin entered the Kremlin but never left prompted the Russian administration to deny the claims.
The 38-second video, which was posted on Twitter on Saturday, shows a number of moving vehicles in Moscow headed towards the direction of the Kremlin as spectators stood by and watched. The motorcade included Mr. Putin’s armored limousine.

According to the Russian-language Telegram account vckogpu, the video was recorded about 11 p.m. local time. The accompanying text, which is translated into English in Newsweek, is as follows: “Such late-night excursions are usually to something significant. especially in light of the subjects brought up during the conversation with [President of Belarus Alexander] Lukashenko.”
The Russian authorities, however, refuted rumors that Vladimir Putin would make an urgent announcement. Newsweek cited Kremlin spokesman Smitry Peskov as responding, “No, that’s not true.”
The Telegraph, meanwhile, reported that Russian missiles struck an apartment building in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, hours after Mr. Putin’s convoy entered the Kremlin. This was the first time since April that this had occurred.
The source added that the missile hit partially demolished a building in central Kiev and that rescuers had to dig a seven-year-old out from under the debris.
According to Oleg Bobkov, a construction worker, “I heard four explosions, the first not too loud, the last three really powerful, rattling the windows.” I took refuge in the basement.
Severodonetsk has now been lost by Ukraine to advancing Russian forces in the ongoing conflict. Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, who will address the G7 leaders on Monday, claimed that a wave of attacks occurred on Saturday in locations as far away as Lviv, which is close to the Polish border.
The conquest of Severodonetsk in the troubled Donbas region, as the war approaches its fifth month, represents a significant strategic victory for Moscow, which is vying for total control over the east of the country after falling short of its initial goals.
