A pilot who crash-landed his plane upside down on a beach somehow escaped without injury.

Joseph Cook, the founder of TikTok, was using his metal detector on Anastasia Island, Florida, on November 15 when he heard a terrible explosion.

While recording himself excavating something out of the sand, Joseph observed the small aircraft smash with the water nose-first.

Joseph stated, “I heard it hit the water, I heard nothing at all before it crashed, I looked up and I watched the plane flip on its back end, added, “That’s the crazy part, I had no clue he was coming in, he was trying to land on the beach, but I was in his path.”

He began to run and was heard screaming, “Oh my god, oh my god, somebody just crashed.”

By the time he regained his composure and aimed the camera at the yellow jet, several individuals had gathered at the crash site.

The pilot was among those standing undamaged on the beach.

Joseph stated, “By the time the plane had flipped on it’s back the guy was just standing there in the water, he must’ve jumped out,” added, “He was in pretty good shape, though, you can see him lift his hat, but I’m pretty sure the guy was just fixing his hair.”

When the plane’s engine failed, it was evaluating the damage caused by recent Hurricane Nicole along the Florida coastline.

The pilot was tasked with guiding the aircraft to safety while avoiding beachgoers.

Unfortunately, the aircraft was not as fortunate as the pilot, as its rotors and engine were seriously damaged.

Joseph added, “That’s the worst part, he probably could have landed it on the beach, but he didn’t want to hit anyone,” added, “They ended up pulling the plane out with a tractor.”
