Andhra family serves their son-in-law 173 dishes goes viral

• On the occasion of Sankranti, a family in Andhra Pradesh prepared a 173-dish dinner for their son-in-law.
• On social media, videos of the expensive fare have gone viral.
• It took four days to prepare the feast in its entirety.

According to Abdul Basheer, on the occasion of Sankranti, Tatavarti Badri, a businessman from Bhimavaram city, hosted his daughter Harika and son-in-law Chavala Pridhvigupta (Hyderabad) at their home for a 173-dish supper that goes viral on Twitter.

The father-in-law explained to the media that “My daughter Shree Harika, and son-in-law Chavala Pridhvigupta were not able to join us for the past two years due to Covid-19 restrictions. We were not able to celebrate the festival of Sankranti with our daughter and son-in-law. But this year we celebrated together. My wife has been working for the past four days to prepare all these 173 food items. Today, as it is the auspicious occasion of Sankranti, we have invited our son-in-law.”

The lunch comprises bhaji, puri, bitter gourd, various halwas, papads, pickles, sweets, cold drinks, and goli soda, according to Badri’s wife Sandhya. We have prepared all 173 items for our son-in-law.
