SpiceJet traveller was detained after misbehaving the crew goes viral on social media. Aboard Monday, a customer on a SpiceJet flight was “offloaded” due to his misbehaviour with one of the female cabin crew members, the airline said in a statement.
The flight staff and passengers are seen engaged in a verbal brawl in the video obtained by ANI after a male passenger allegedly behaved improperly with a female crew member.
“On January 23, 2023, SpiceJet wet-leased Corendon aircraft was scheduled to operate SG-8133 (Delhi – Hyderabad). During boarding at Delhi, one passenger behaved in an unruly and inappropriate manner, harassing and causing disturbance to the cabin crew. The crew informed the PIC and security staff of the same. The said passenger and a co-passenger, who were travelling together, were offloaded and handed over to the security team,” the airline released a statement.

The crew said that the passenger inappropriately touched one of the staff members. Fellow passengers, on the other hand, stated that it was an accident caused by the flight’s restricted space.
The passenger later apologised in writing, but he was removed from the plane to avoid additional conflict.
Earlier this month, on January 9, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a show cause notice to Air India’s Accountable Manager after the regulator became aware of two episodes of passenger misbehaviour on the airline’s flight AI-142 from Paris to New Delhi on December 6, last year.
The show cause notice explained why enforcement action “should not be taken against them for dereliction of their regulatory obligations.”
One passenger was discovered smoking in the restroom while inebriated and not paying attention to the staff.
When a fellow female traveller went to the restroom, another passenger allegedly discharged himself on her unoccupied seat and blanket.
Aboard a similar note, an argument between two inebriated passengers was reported on a Patna-bound IndiGo Airlines flight on January 9.
The airlines had denied any reports of two inebriated passengers wreaking mayhem on a Patna-bound flight from the national capital, claiming that no such incident had occurred.
“With reference to the incident that took place onboard 6E 6383 from Delhi to Patna, the matter is under investigation by the authorities. We would like to clarify that there was no altercation onboard the aircraft, as what is being reported in some sections of social media,” IndiGo Airlines had said in a tweet.
After the media claimed that airport police had detained two passengers for allegedly causing havoc in an inebriated state on Sunday night, the airlines released a correction.
