Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have made a decision to relocate to London permanently with their two children. They are seeking a quieter life away from the busy atmosphere of India, aiming to provide a peaceful environment for their family.

Virat, who recently led India to victory in the T20 World Cup in Barbados, and Anushka want their children, Vamika and Akay, to grow up with the opportunity for an international education without the constant attention they receive in India.

After celebrating their success at a parade in Mumbai, the family departed for London. Virat recently announced his retirement from T20 cricket after the World Cup final, but he plans to continue playing Test and ODI cricket. At 35, he feels it’s the right time to step back from international T20s while he’s still performing at his peak.

Sources close to the couple shared that they’ve been considering this move since their son Akay was born. They are looking to buy a luxurious home in London, a city they’ve spent significant time in, especially after Akay’s birth.

After Akay was born, they spent nearly two months in London, away from their demanding careers. Virat returned to India for cricket commitments, while Anushka joined him later. Anushka has consistently emphasized the importance of privacy for their children, requesting that their photos not be shared on social media.

Often seen enjoying downtime in London, the couple shares a strong connection to the city. Virat’s decision to miss a key Test series to be with Akay during his birth highlights their growing attachment to London.

Friends of the couple believe that with Virat nearing retirement, settling permanently in the UK makes sense. Virat has mentioned his preference for living in Europe, where he can enjoy a more ordinary life away from the constant scrutiny he faces in India.
