Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an alert of rain and snowfall in several parts of Baluchistan.

Quetta will experience intense cold temperatures today. The temperature has decreased to -13 degrees Celsius in several areas of Baluchistan.

The minimum temperature recorded in Ziarat was -12 degrees Celsius and minus 10 degrees Celsius.

The temperature recorded in Zhob was -2 degree Celsius and -3 degree Celsius in Dalbadin.

Local government has issued alert to the authorities to prepare emergency services, machinery and related things to tackle the severe situation. The authorities are also asked to maintain their presence in the next two weeks.

Apart from these, PMD has predicted that the weather will remain cold and dry in other parts of the country. The weather will remain severely cold in northern areas. PMD has also predicted fog inland areas in Sindh and Punjab today and tomorrow.

PMD says that over 1 mm of rain was recorded in Murree whereas the minimum temperature of -15 degree Celsius was recorded in Astore

The minimum temperature recorded in Karachi today was 7 degrees Celsius whereas the maximum temperature recorded is 21-24 degrees Celsius.

PMD has forecast that the minimum temperature will remain from 7-9 degrees Celsius in Karachi tomorrow.

Note that the number of casualties has reached more than 77 in Azad Kashmir due to avalanche.
