A new spell of rain and heavy snowfall has entered Azaad Kashmir and activities to deal with the hazards of avalanches have been stopped.

This spell will remain for some days in Azaad Kashmir, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Rescuers are working to help people handle the aftermaths of avalanches.

PMD has forecast that the weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of Pakistan.

Fog is predicted in several parts of Punjab and Sindh.

Rain and snowfall can occur in Gilgit Baltistan. Winter intensity in Islamabad has increased due to drizzling in the early morning. The minimum temperature can remain till 11 Degree Celsius today.

Weather in Karachi will remain cold and dry and cool winds have been blowing since morning. The minimum temperature recorded today was 12 Degree Celsius and can remain till 13 Degree Celsius till the next two days. Whereas the maximum temperature can remain till 24 Degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature was recorded in Skardu was minus 15 Degree Celsius.

The death toll from rain and snow-related incidents in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) had risen to 100.

According to the details, the AJK death toll reached 100 during snowfall and rain-related incidents.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority, 76 people were killed in the avalanches triggered by heavy rains and snowfall in Azad Kashmir.

While 20 people had died in Balochistan and two each in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, reports said.
