Islamabad and Rawalpindi received continuous rain showers with strong winds on Friday, rainfall made the weather cool in the twin cities.
Humidity in the air recorded was 100 percent mark in the day.
Meteorological Department of Pakistan reports that Islamabad’s new airport area received 46 millimeters of rain, Saidupur 40, Zero Point 33, Golra 32 and Bokra 28, and Rawalpindi’s Shamsabad area 37 millimeters.
Apart from this, the minimum temperature recorded (with 100 percent humidity) was 14 Degrees Celsius in Islamabad and 15 Degrees Celsius in Rawalpindi.
PMD predicts that rainfall will be continued on Saturday. Westerly waves caused heavy rainfall in the city.
Met Department also forecasts thunderstorms in Islamabad, upper and central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Friday and in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab on Saturday.
