Karachi is experiencing a hot weather these days. The maximum temperature recorded today morning was 37 degrees Celsius whereas humidity recorded was 82 percent. 

According to Pakistan Meteorological department, temperature can remain from 39 to 41 degrees Celsius till the next two days.

The met department had earlier predicted heatwave in Karachi from 17th May to 22nd May 2020. PMD Director Sardar Sarfaraz said that hot winds blowing from the desert areas in the northwest can cause an increase in temperature. However, the weather may remain cooler in the evening and at night.

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while dry in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday (today).

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country in the last 24 hours. However, rain (mm) recorded in Kakul 09, Garhi dupatta 04, Murree 03 and Balakot 01.

Yesterday recorded highest maximum Temperature’s (°C): Shaheed Benazirabad 46°C, Sibbi, Turbat, Lasbella, Mithi and\r\n Jaccobabad 45°C.
