Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted light rainfall in Karachi on Thursday.

Met Department has predicted partly cloudy weather with chances of light rainfall and drizzle in the port-city today.

Furthermore, the weather in Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy with the maximum temperature ranging up to 36 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday Rainfall

Various areas of Karachi received moderate to heavy rainfall on Wednesday.

However, rainfall was reported in areas of Malir, Landhi, Korangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Liaquatabad, and other areas.

Recorded Rainfall

In addition to this, according to the Meteorological Department, maximum rainfall of 30 mm was recorded in Surjani.

23 mm in North Karachi,

10 mm in PAF Masroor Base,

8 mm in PAF Faisal Base,

6.4 mm in Nazimabad,

6 mm in Saddar and 5.8 mm at University Road.

Electricity Situation

The power supply suspended in many areas due to rains. Power outages occurred in Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, Khokhrapar, Korangi and Zia Colony.

Many areas of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Liaquatabad, and Scheme-33 also lost power.

After the rains, many streets of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Surjani, North Karachi, Nazimabad and, Saddar flooded.

Moreover, after the improvement in the weather in the city, the demand for electricity has come down from 3,000 to 2,800 MW.

Despite the gap between the demand and supply of electricity being 200 MW, the power supply situation has not improved.

Occupied Kashmir Weather 

According to the Met Office forecast about Occupied Kashmir, the weather in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag Islamabad, Shopian and Baramulla expected to remain partly cloudy.

However, there are chances of Rain/wind thundershowers.

Moreover Quetta 18 and Muzaffarabad recorded 20 degrees centigrade.

The temperature recorded this morning, Srinagar and Pulwama 18degree centigrade,

Jammu 27, Leh 12, Anantnag 19, Shopian 16and Baramulla 17 degree centigrade.
