PDMA issues alert about monsoon currents in KP

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued alert about rain and windstorm during the next four days in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the PDMA, the Pakistan Metrological Department has predicted the moderate monsoon currents are penetrating north-eastern parts of the province and are likely to strengthen during the forthcoming days.

Under the influence of weather Rain, windstorm and dust storms are also expected in isolated places like Punjab, KP, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

The PDMA has requested the concerned authorities to take all precautionary measures in order to avoid the damages of life and property. The concerned authorities have also been requested to inform tourists about the weather forecast.

Weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country.  The highest temperature in KP on Tuesday was recorded at 47 degrees centigrade in Dera Ismail Khan.
