Monsoon: Met department predicts another spell across the country
Another rain spell of moderate to heavy rains has been forecast across the country in the next 24 hours.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain is expected in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore Division, Islamabad and Kashmir on Saturday.
Downpours with thunderstorms are likely to expect in different parts of the country including Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Sahiwal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur Division and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The weather is likely to be partly cloudy in Karachi today and the city’s maximum temperature likely to be between 30 and 32 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, the recorded temperature of Karachi was 28 degree centigrade in the morning, humidity in the air was recorded at 84% while the air in the southeast was moving at 8 nautical miles.
Rain showers were reported in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore Division and Islamabad, while some places in Peshawar, Malakand, Makran Division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan received thunderstorms with heavy rain.
Prior, rains had disrupted Karachi’s system, roads and streets of many areas had waterlogged following heavy rainfall while 33 people lost their lives in electrocution incidents during the week.
