Rain and snowfall are expected in several areas of Pakistan.
The meteorological department has predicted rainfall in several areas of Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir.
In addition to this, the meteorological department has also forecasted snowfall in mountainous areas.
According to details, rain is expected in many districts of Baluchistan and snowfall in higher areas. Heavy showers of rain and snowfall are also predicted in the northern areas of Balochistan.
Apart from that, the meteorological department has also forecasted rainfall in all the districts of Punjab province including Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajan Pur, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sargodha, Khushab, Lahore, Jhang, and Faisalabad. Rainfall is also predicted in a few areas of Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, and Hafizabad.
Furthermore, the temperature may decrease more due to rainfall and snow in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
According to details, the fog had covered land areas in Punjab whereas rainfall was experienced in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh in the last 24 days.
Rainfall can occur in upper districts of Sindh including Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
The heaviest rainfall of 17ml was recorded in Kalat, and Kalam had experienced the lowest temperature of -10 degrees Celsius.
Rain with snowfall expected in various parts
Widespread rain with snowfall over the hilly areas was expected on 4th January in different parts of the country including Baluchistan, lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and south/central Punjab while at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next twelve hours.
Moderate to heavy snowfall was also expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kohistan, Neelam valley, Bagh and Haveli districts during Monday to Tuesday.
