At least six people including three women and three children were killed after roof of the houses collapsed due to heavy snowfall.

As per the details, at least six persons of a family including women and children killed after a roof collapsed due to heavy snow.

The incident occurred in Shahab Zai area of Balochistan province.

The locals and rescue team rushed to the spot and shifted the ill-fated family to a nearby hospital.

On the other hand, incessant rain in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa turned weather cold.

Heavy downpours lashed Bolan, Bhag Nari, Dhadhar, Bala Nari and suburban areas.

The intermittent rain caused tripping of more than various feeders, plunging portion of the different areas into darkness.

Meanwhile, the Mach and Kalpor road remained closed to traffic due heavy snowfall.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan visited the National Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to assess the damage caused due to severe snowfall in the province.

Talking to media, he said that high alert has issued to the commissioners and deputy commissioners.

Jam Kamal said that some highways closed due to heavy snowfall which has been reopened.

He added that the Balochistan government is utilizing all the resources in view of the snowfall situation.

Yesterday, Balochistan received rain and snowfall while the met office had forecast chances of rain with occasional gusty winds in Karachi.

Parts of Karachi received light rain coupled with gusty winds Sunday evening, which continued sporadically until late at night.

Scattered showers in North Karachi, Malir, Airport and adjacent areas turned the weather colder.

The temperature in the metropolis recorded at 14 degrees centigrade on Sunday.

The temperature dropped to seven to eight degrees after the rain.
